Description
Egyptian Sidr or Jujube honey. It offers both a sweet and intense taste. Mainly harvested in Yemen and Arabia, it is also found in Upper Egypt, in the region of Qena. The bees that create it only feed from the Sidr tree. The tree has long been known for its health boosting properties and has been used for centuries as natural medicine, which has resulted to it being considered a sacred tree.

Why we like it
* The Sidr trees grow uncultivated in remote and unpolluted areas, untouched by chemicals or drugs, so it is pesticide free, toxins free and antibiotics free.
* Also called the Manuka Honey of the Middle East, one of the most exclusive and sought after honeys in the world, thanks to its pure composition, its long list of health benefits and its rarity.

How to use it
* Just have a spoonful of it or add it to sliced fruit for additional taste and more importantly to benefit from its probiotics properties. It is great for your gut and keeps the digestive tract healthy and resistant to disease.
* Add it to your black or green tea, along with some lemon for added health benefits and taste.
* Drizzle it on top of deserts, waffles, pancakes, muffins as a (healthy) sweetener.
* Can be great to use in masks or topically on the skin, given it is rich in antioxidants and it hydrates and moisturises dry skin and scalp. When applied topically it helps against skin infections, acne, sun damage and signs of aging.
* Use it diluted with water as a spray (if you are not a fan of the sticky feeling on your skin), given its anti-fungal properties. It is good at fighting the bacteria and in particular those that cause sinus infections or other yeast infections.
