El Meraki was born out of a personal necessity. Suela, our founder, has always been passionate about healthy living and inspiring others to embrace a wholesome and fulfilling long life. Moving to Egypt from Germany—a paradise for organic produce lovers—she faced a challenge: where could she find the right healthy options for her family?

With two young children and a picky eater husband, meal planning was always a priority for Suela. With several intolerances and allergies added to the family mix, she became even more conscious about the need for healthier choices. She began visiting local farms and meeting producers, discovering an untapped world of health-conscious, honest suppliers in Egypt. However, these producers often lacked the means to connect with consumers, and families like hers had to coordinate with multiple suppliers for the weekly groceries. She realized that most people didn’t even know such producers existed to start with.

This experience inspired Suela to create El Meraki—a platform that bridges the gap between health-conscious producers and consumers, all while fostering a community driven by the desire to thrive, not just survive.

In that journey, Suela was fortunate to meet Nancy, our co-founder, who shares this passion for healthy living. A certified nutritionist, with extensive experience in creating tailored wellness solutions, Nancy brings her own unique expertise and energy to our mission. When not crafting healthy meal plans, you will most likely find Nancy in her kitchen preparing batches of yummy food, fermented products and healthy candies for her little one (and his small and grown up friends).

Together, Suela and Nancy are dedicated to raising awareness and making it easier for people to lead more fulfilling lives.
