Fresh organic adalia lemons, juicy. The adalia lemons are sweet and double or triple the size of the baladi lemons/limes.

Why we like it
Pesticide free at harvest. Lemons are naturally anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and rich in antioxidants (in particular vitamin C) which can strengthen your immunity, helps in iron absorption and prevents development of chronic disease. They also have other potent cancer- and parasites-fighting antioxidants. Lemons can make just about anything taste better. Salty foods, sweet foods, and fatty foods can all be balanced and enhanced by the small but this mighty yellow citrus fruit.

How to use it
* Can be used in a wide array of salty foods, sweet foods, and fatty food to improve taste and texture to your liking and not to mention the beverages it can be added to (from the famous lemonade, to smoothies, cocktails, mocktails and teas).
* Lemon juice helps also hinder the browning caused by oxidation in sliced fruits (like apples, pears, peaches, bananas and avocados). When preparing guacamole, for example, make sure to add lemon juice in it, in order to keep it green for a while, otherwise lemon-less guacamole will turn grey-brownish quickly.
* Lemon juice can help red foods keep their colour (like cherries, strawberries, red cabbage, red grapes, plums, cranberries and raspberries) and not turn purple or blue. On the other hand lemon juice can make greens to fade if it is added too early in the cooking process. And generally speaking when cooking with lemon juice, add it when the dish has almost finished cooking, in order to preserve lemon’s vitamins, like the famous vitamin C.
* Use lemon zest when you want to add flavor to a recipe without adding more liquid. * Sprinkle it on salads, soups, sauces, yoghurt, inside cakes (lemon zest is great in lemon muffins!).
